NGTS-35 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

NGTS-35 is a K3.5 V star located 597 light-years away. This main-sequence dwarf has a mass of 0.789 solar masses and a radius of 0.753 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's corresponding values. Its temperature of 4720 K is cooler than the Sun's, and its age is 1.5 billion years. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is NGTS-35 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by the transit method in 2025. It has a mass of 152 Earth masses and a radius of 10.9 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's corresponding values. Its orbital period is 25.2 days. The planet's mean density is 0.647 g/cm³, 0.117 times Earth's.
