Kepler-994 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-994 is a star 614 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 3.24 billion years old and has a mass of 0.56 solar masses, a radius of 0.54 solar radii, and a temperature of 3930 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-994 b was discovered by transit in 2016, when it passed in front of its star and caused a small dip in observed brightness. It is a Super-Earth with a radius of 1.6 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and an orbital period of 1.15 days.
