Kepler-967 is a star located 1850 light-years away, and two planets have been found orbiting it. The host star is 5.89 billion years old, with a mass of 0.84 solar masses, a radius of 0.8 solar radii, and a temperature of 5180 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.
Both planets were discovered by transit in 2016, the method in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-967 b is classified as a Super-Earth and orbits in 13.2 days; its radius of 2.35 Earth radii is larger than Earth's and the smallest among the listed planets. Kepler-967 c is Neptune-like, with a radius of 3.65 Earth radii, larger than Earth's and the largest among the listed planets. Its orbital period of 199 days is the longest among the listed planets, while Kepler-967 b has the shortest year among them. Size classes compare radius with Earth's: a Super-Earth reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius, and a Neptune-like planet reaches 4 times.
