Kepler-841 and Its Lone Known Planet

Kepler-841 is a star located 3260 light-years away, with one planet in its system. Its mass is 0.85 solar masses, its radius is 0.81 solar radii, and its surface temperature is 5320 K. The star's reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. It is 4.47 billion years old.

The only known planet around Kepler-841 is Kepler-841 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet crosses in front of its star and causes a slight dip in brightness. It orbits every 124 days and has a radius of 5.23 Earth radii. Kepler-841 b's reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's, and a Jupiter-like classification means its radius exceeds four times Earth's.
