Kepler-808 and Its Earth-Sized Planet

Kepler-808 is a star known to host one planet. The star is 1.95 billion years old and has a mass of 0.76 solar masses, a radius of 0.71 solar radii, and a temperature of 4650 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The single planet, Kepler-808 b, was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-808 b orbits its star every 0.631 days, and its radius of 1.46 Earth radii is larger than Earth's. That radius places the planet in the Earth-like size class, which covers planets up to 1.5 times Earth's radius.
