Kepler-711 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-711 is a star located 2040 light-years away. It is 4.37 billion years old and has 0.84 solar masses, 0.8 solar radii, and a temperature of 5220 K. Its reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is Kepler-711 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-711 b completes one orbit in 23.6 days and has a radius of 3.41 Earth radii. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's.
