Kepler-675 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-675 is a star 2170 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The host star is 4.68 billion years old, with a mass of 0.79 solar masses, a radius of 0.75 solar radii, and a temperature of 4950 K. Its reported mass, radius, and temperature are each smaller or cooler than the Sun's.

The planet, Kepler-675 b, was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Its orbital period is 2.34 days. With a radius of 2.44 Earth radii, it is a Super-Earth, and its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's.
