Kepler-645 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-645 is a star 3830 light-years away with one known planet, Kepler-645 b. The host star is 2.95 billion years old, with a mass of 1.13 solar masses, a radius of 1.21 solar radii, and a temperature of 6170 K. Its mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter.

Kepler-645 b is classified as a Super-Earth. It was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Its orbital period is 3.28 days, and its radius is 2.1 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
