Kepler-585 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-585 is a star 1910 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 3.63 billion years old and has 0.96 solar masses, 0.93 solar radii, and a temperature of 5590 K, which is cooler than the Sun's.

The system's only planet is Kepler-585 b, a Neptune-like world discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It completes an orbit every 2.75 days. Its radius is 2.83 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
