Kepler-558 and Its Lone Known Planet

Kepler-558 is a star 2160 light-years away with one known planet in orbit around it. The host star is estimated to be 4.47 billion years old, with a mass of 0.85 solar masses and a radius of 0.81 solar radii. Its reported temperature is 5240 K.

The system's only known planet is Kepler-558 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. It completes an orbit every 29 days and has a radius of 2.37 Earth radii. That radius is larger than Earth's, and the star it orbits is both less massive and smaller in radius than the Sun, as well as cooler.
