Kepler-546 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

Kepler-546 is a star located 3330 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 3.31 billion years old and has a mass of 1.11 solar masses, a radius of 1.15 solar radii, and a temperature of 5970 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-546 b was discovered by transit in 2016, when it passed in front of its star from our viewpoint and caused a small dip in observed brightness. It is classified as Jupiter-like, a size class for planets whose radius exceeds 4 Earth radii, and its radius is 7 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Kepler-546 b completes one orbit in 4.15 days.
