Kepler-485 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

Kepler-485 is a single-star system located 3720 light-years away. The star is 3.72 billion years old and has a mass of 1.07 solar masses, a radius of 1.09 solar radii, and a temperature of 5960 K. Its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

Kepler-485 b is a Jupiter-like planet, a size class that exceeds 4 times Earth's radius. Its reported radius estimate is 14.4 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. The planet completes an orbit every 3.24 days. It was discovered by transit in 2016, when it passed in front of its star from our viewpoint and caused a small dip in observed brightness.
