Kepler-369: A Cool Star With Two Earth-Like Planets

Kepler-369 is a star with two known planets, both discovered by the transit method in 2014. The star's reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. It is 4.17 billion years old, with 0.5 solar masses, 0.48 solar radii, and a temperature of 3710 K.

The two planets are Kepler-369 b and Kepler-369 c, both classified as Earth-like. Kepler-369 b has an orbital period of 2.73 days and a radius of 1.13 Earth radii. Kepler-369 c has an orbital period of 14.9 days and a radius of 1.41 Earth radii. Both planets' reported radius estimates are larger than Earth's. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star, causing a small dip in observed brightness.
