Kepler-353 and Its Two Planets

Kepler-353 is a star located 1250 light-years away. The star is 3.39 billion years old and has a mass of 0.58 solar masses, a radius of 0.56 solar radii, and a temperature of 3990 K. Its reported mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's. Two planets orbit this host.

Both planets were discovered by transit in 2014. Kepler-353 b is a Sub-Earth with a radius of 0.89 Earth radii and an orbital period of 5.8 days, so its radius is smaller than Earth's and its year is the shortest among the listed planets. Kepler-353 c is Earth-like, with a radius of 1.38 Earth radii and an orbital period of 8.41 days; its radius is larger than Earth's and its year is the longest among the listed planets. Kepler-353 c also has the largest radius among the listed planets, while Kepler-353 b has the smallest.
