Kepler-350 and Its Three Planets

Kepler-350 is a star located 3120 light-years away with three planets orbiting it. The host star is 3.24 billion years old and has a mass of 1.19 solar masses, a radius of 1.36 solar radii, and a temperature of 6220 K. Its mass and radius are larger than the Sun's, and it is hotter than the Sun.

All three planets were found by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it. Kepler-350 b is a Super-Earth discovered in 2014 with a radius of 1.85 Earth radii and an orbital period of 11.2 days. Kepler-350 c and Kepler-350 d are both Neptune-like planets discovered in 2013. Kepler-350 c has a mass of 6.1 Earth masses, a radius of 3.1 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 17.8 days. Its mean density is 1.13 g/cm³, 0.205 times Earth's. Kepler-350 d has a mass of 14.9 Earth masses, a radius of 2.8 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 26.1 days. Its mean density is 3.74 g/cm³, 0.679 times Earth's.

The radii of all three planets are larger than Earth's, and the masses of Kepler-350 c and Kepler-350 d are larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, Kepler-350 b has the shortest year and the smallest radius, Kepler-350 d has the longest year and the second-smallest radius, and Kepler-350 c has the second-shortest year and the largest radius.
