Kepler-263 and Its Two Known Planets

Kepler-263 is a star located 2460 light-years away, with two planets known to orbit it. The host star is 4.27 billion years old and has a mass of 0.89 solar masses, a radius of 0.85 solar radii, and a temperature of 5390 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

Both planets were discovered by transit in 2014. Kepler-263 b is Neptune-like, with a radius of 2.67 Earth radii and an orbital period of 16.6 days. Kepler-263 c is a Super-Earth, with a radius of 2.47 Earth radii and an orbital period of 47.3 days.

Among the listed planets, Kepler-263 b has the shortest year by reported estimates and the largest radius by reported estimates. Kepler-263 c has the longest year by reported estimates and the smallest radius by reported estimates. Both planets have reported radius estimates larger than Earth's.
