Kepler-241 and Its Two Known Planets

Kepler-241 is a star with two known planets, Kepler-241 b and Kepler-241 c, both discovered in 2014 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. The star is 3.47 billion years old and has a mass of 0.74 solar masses, a radius of 0.7 solar radii, and a temperature of 4760 K, making it less massive, smaller, and cooler than the Sun.

Kepler-241 b is a Super-Earth with a radius of 2.33 Earth radii and an orbital period of 12.7 days; its radius is larger than Earth's. Kepler-241 c is Neptune-like, with a radius of 2.57 Earth radii and an orbital period of 36.1 days; its radius is also larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, Kepler-241 b has the shortest year and the smallest radius by reported estimates, while Kepler-241 c has the longest year and the largest radius by reported estimates.
