Kepler-1809 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1809 is a star 1340 light-years away with a mass of 0.808 solar masses, a radius of 0.8 solar radii, and a temperature of 4920 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this star.

That planet, Kepler-1809 b, is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness, and repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1809 b completes an orbit every 3.76 days and has a radius of 1.51 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's. A Super-Earth reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius.
