Kepler-1729 and Its Lone Known Planet

Kepler-1729 is a star 1880 light-years away with one known planet in its system, and it is the only star cataloged for that host. The star carries 0.55 solar masses and 0.52 solar radii, and its temperature is 3860 K. Its reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, its radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The system's only known planet is Kepler-1729 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2021. It orbits every 4.22 days. Its radius is 3.89 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, placing it within the Neptune-like size class, which reaches four times Earth's radius.
