Kepler-1700 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1700 is a star located 2340 light-years away. It hosts one known planet. The host star is estimated to be 2.75 billion years old, with a mass of 1.07 solar masses and a radius of 1.07 solar radii, and its temperature is 5940 K. Its reported mass, radius, and temperature are each larger or hotter than the Sun's corresponding values.

The system's only known planet is Kepler-1700 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2020. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness, and repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1700 b completes one orbit every 234 days, and its radius of 2.9 Earth radii is larger than Earth's.
