Kepler-1664 and Its Neptune-like Planet

Kepler-1664 is a star 2040 light-years away with a mass of 1.08 solar masses, a radius of 1.15 solar radii, and a temperature of 5910 K. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, Kepler-1664 b, is Neptune-like. It was found by transit, the method in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1664 b completes an orbit every 14.4 days, and its radius is 3.03 Earth radii. Earth radii compare radius, not volume. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's, and within the size classes used for planets, a Neptune-like world reaches four times Earth's radius.
