Kepler-1595 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1595 is a star 2760 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 4.68 billion years old and has a mass of 0.84 solar masses, a radius of 0.8 solar radii, and a temperature of 5200 K. Its reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, as is its reported radius estimate, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The system's only known planet is Kepler-1595 b, an Earth-like planet discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1595 b orbits every 4.56 days and has a radius of 1.23 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
