Kepler-1574 and Its Earth-Like Planet

Kepler-1574 is a star located 4510 light-years away. It is 3.8 billion years old, has a mass of 1.06 solar masses, a radius of 1.08 solar radii, and a temperature of 5890 K. Its reported mass estimate is larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is Kepler-1574 b, an Earth-like world discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1574 b completes one orbit, its year, in 6.94 days. Its radius is 1.29 Earth radii, a reported radius estimate larger than Earth's.
