Kepler-1552 b: A Super-Earth in a Distant System

Kepler-1552 is a star located 2510 light-years away. It has one known planet. The star is 3.31 billion years old and has a mass of 0.85 solar masses and a radius of 0.78 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. Its temperature of 5200 K is cooler than the Sun's.

Kepler-1552 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. The planet completes one orbit every 185 days, and its radius of 2.47 Earth radii is larger than Earth's.
