Kepler-1549 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1549 is a star located 2620 light-years away. It has one planet orbiting it. The host star is 4.79 billion years old, with a mass of 0.88 solar masses and a radius of 0.84 solar radii. Its temperature is 5320 K, and its reported mass, radius, and temperature estimates are all smaller or cooler than the Sun's.

The planet, Kepler-1549 b, is Neptune-like and was discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1549 b orbits its star every 215 days and has a radius of 2.57 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
