Kepler-1525 and Its Sub-Earth Planet

Kepler-1525 is a star located 1250 light-years away. It is 2.82 billion years old, has a mass of 1.07 solar masses, a radius of 1.04 solar radii, and a temperature of 5750 K. Its reported mass estimate is larger than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is Kepler-1525 b, a Sub-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1525 b has an orbital period of 2.42 days, so it completes one orbit in that time. Its radius is 0.91 Earth radii, and its reported radius estimate is smaller than Earth's. As a Sub-Earth, it is smaller than Earth in radius.
