Kepler-1410 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1410 is a star with one known planet. Its mass is 0.594 solar masses and its radius is 0.566 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's corresponding values. The star's temperature is 3950 K, cooler than the Sun's, and its age is 1.3 billion years.

The planet, Kepler-1410 b, was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1410 b completes an orbit every 60.9 days, and its radius is 1.78 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. This radius places it in the Super-Earth size class, which reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius.
