Kepler-1384 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1384 is a star with one known planet. The star's reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, at 0.78 solar masses, and its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, at 0.74 solar radii. It is cooler than the Sun as well, with a temperature of 4920 K, and its age is 4.57 billion years.

The planet, Kepler-1384 b, was discovered by transit in 2016 and is classified as a Super-Earth. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1384 b has an orbital period of 15.4 days and a radius of 1.94 Earth radii. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's.
