Kepler-1355 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1355 is a star located 2970 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star is estimated to be 4.27 billion years old, with a mass of 0.88 solar masses and a radius of 0.83 solar radii. Its temperature is 5350 K. The star's reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1355 b was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1355 b has an orbital period of 1.29 days, so it completes one orbit in that time. Its radius is 1.46 Earth radii, and its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's. As an Earth-like planet, it stays within 1.5 times Earth's radius.
