Kepler-1226 and Its Lone Known Planet

Kepler-1226 is a star 3670 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The host star is 3.72 billion years old and has a mass of 1.02 solar masses and a radius of 1.02 solar radii. Its temperature of 5920 K is hotter than the Sun's.

The one known planet is Kepler-1226 b, an Earth-like world discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Its orbital period is 17.3 days, and its radius of 1.45 Earth radii is larger than Earth's. That size keeps it within 1.5 times Earth's radius, the range that defines the Earth-like class.
