Kepler-1203 and Its Earth-Like Planet

Kepler-1203 is a single-star system 1030 light-years from Earth, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 3.47 billion years old and has 0.64 solar masses, 0.61 solar radii, and a temperature of 4110 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The system's only known planet, Kepler-1203 b, was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star from our viewpoint causes a small dip in observed brightness. It is classified as Earth-like, since its radius remains within 1.5 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 1.06 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and it orbits Kepler-1203 every 0.588 days.
