Kepler-1153 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1153 is a star located 3650 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 4.57 billion years old, has a mass of 0.91 solar masses, a radius of 0.88 solar radii, and a temperature of 5470 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-1153 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1153 b has an orbital period of 1.76 days and a radius of 1.73 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's. Its size classification is based on radius rather than composition.
