Kepler-1120 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1120 is a star located 2010 light-years away, with an age of 4.68 billion years. Its mass is 0.78 solar masses and its radius is 0.74 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's corresponding values, and its temperature of 4900 K is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is Kepler-1120 b, an Earth-like world discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star slightly dims the observed brightness. It completes an orbit every 2.95 days and has a radius of 1.38 Earth radii, making it larger than Earth while remaining within the Earth-like size class.
