Kepler-1894 and Its Two Earth-Like Planets

Kepler-1894 is a single-star system 3050 light-years away. The star has 0.999 solar masses, 0.901 solar radii, and a temperature of 5770 K. Two planets orbit this host: Kepler-1894 b and Kepler-1894 c, both discovered by transit and both classified as Earth-like. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness.

Kepler-1894 b was discovered in 2021. Its orbital period is 2.76 days, the shortest among the listed planets, and its radius is 1.2 Earth radii, the smallest among the listed planets. That radius is larger than Earth's.

Kepler-1894 c was discovered in 2023. Its orbital period is 5.05 days, the longest among the listed planets, and its radius is 1.21 Earth radii, the largest among the listed planets. That radius is also larger than Earth's.
