Kepler-1522 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1522 is a star located 2660 light-years from Earth, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 3.89 billion years old, contains 0.96 solar masses, spans 0.93 solar radii, and has a temperature of 5710 K.

The planet is Kepler-1522 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1522 b orbits its star every 1.85 days and has a radius of 1.73 Earth radii. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's. In size classification, a Super-Earth reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius.
