Kepler-1305 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1305 is a star located 5,140 light-years away. Stellar measurements place it at 0.97 solar masses, 0.96 solar radii, and a temperature of 5,700 K, with an age of 4.37 billion years. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is Kepler-1305 b, a Super-Earth discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Its orbital period is 13.6 days, and its radius is 1.88 Earth radii, an estimate larger than Earth's.
