Planets of K2-50

K2-50 is a star 840 light-years away with two known planets. The star has a mass of 0.67 solar masses and a radius of 0.718 solar radii, and its temperature is 4290 K.

Both planets were found by transit, the dimming of a star's light as a planet crosses in front of it. K2-50 b, discovered in 2016, is a Super-Earth with a radius of 1.59 Earth radii and an orbital period of 8.75 days, the longest year among the listed planets. EPIC 201833600 c, discovered in 2019, is Earth-like, with a radius of 1 Earth radii and an orbital period of 3.96 days.

Among the listed planets, EPIC 201833600 c has the shortest year and the smallest radius, while K2-50 b has the largest radius.
