K2-373 b: A Super-Earth in a Distant Star System

K2-373 is a star located 749 light-years away. It has 1.1 solar masses, a radius of 1.53 solar radii, and a temperature of 5980 K. Its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this star.

K2-373 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2022. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. The planet completes one orbit in 11 days. Its radius is 2.06 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
