K2-321 is a star located 253 light-years away. It has a mass of 0.578 solar masses and a radius of 0.595 solar radii, making both its mass and radius smaller than the Sun's. Its temperature is 3750 K, cooler than the Sun. This host star is known to have one planet.
That planet is K2-321 b, a Super-Earth discovered in 2020 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. It orbits every 2.3 days and has a radius of 2.05 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. A Super-Earth reaches up to 2.5 times Earth's radius, and this planet's size classification is based on its radius rather than its composition.
