K2-240 and Its Two Super-Earths

K2-240 is an M0.5 V star, a small, cool red dwarf, located 238 light-years away. Its reported mass is 0.58 solar masses, its radius is 0.54 solar radii, and its temperature is 3810 K, all smaller or cooler than the Sun's corresponding values. Two planets are known to orbit this host.

Both planets are Super-Earths discovered by transit in 2018. K2-240 b has an orbital period of 6.03 days and a radius of 2 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. K2-240 c has an orbital period of 20.5 days and a radius of 1.8 Earth radii, also larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, K2-240 b has the shortest year and the largest radius, while K2-240 c has the longest year and the smallest radius. Neither planet has a reported mass.
