HATS-37 A is a star 691 light-years away with an age of 11.5 billion years, a mass of 0.843 solar masses, a radius of 0.877 solar radii, and a temperature of 5330 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.
That planet, HATS-37 A b, is Jupiter-like, a size class that exceeds 4 times Earth's radius. It was discovered in 2020 by transit, when it passed in front of its star from our viewpoint and caused a small dip in observed brightness. Its radius is 6.79 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 31.5 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. It completes an orbit every 4.33 days. Its mean density is 0.553 g/cm³, 0.1 times Earth's.
