HATS-35 is a star 1680 light-years away with a mass of 1.32 solar masses, a radius of 1.43 solar radii, a temperature of 6300 K, and an age of 2.13 billion years. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet has been found orbiting this host.
That planet is HATS-35 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. HATS-35 b completes an orbit every 1.82 days. Its radius is 16.4 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Its mass is 388 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's and roughly 1.22 times Jupiter's mass. The planet's mean density is 0.484 g/cm³, 0.0879 times Earth's.
