HATS-33 is a star 810 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 3 billion years old, has 1.06 solar masses and 1.02 solar radii, and a temperature of 5660 K. Its reported mass estimate is larger than the Sun's, while its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.
The planet HATS-33 b was discovered by transit in 2016, when it passed in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. It is Jupiter-like, a size class for planets exceeding 4 times Earth's radius, and measures 13.8 Earth radii, larger than Earth's radius. Its mass is 379 Earth masses, larger than Earth's and roughly 1.19 times Jupiter's mass. It completes an orbit every 2.55 days. Its mean density is 0.797 g/cm³, 0.145 times Earth's.
