HATS-25 is a G-type star located 1540 light-years away. It has an age of 7.5 billion years, a mass of 0.994 solar masses, a radius of 1.11 solar radii, and a temperature of 5720 K. One planet orbits this host.
That planet is HATS-25 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It has a mass of 195 Earth masses and a radius of 14.1 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's corresponding values. Its orbital period is 4.3 days. The planet's mean density is 0.381 g/cm³, 0.0692 times Earth's, and the star's reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's.
