HAT-P-69 is a star 1,110 light-years from Earth with an age of 1.27 billion years, a mass of 1.65 solar masses, a radius of 1.93 solar radii, and a temperature of 7390 K. Its mass, radius, and temperature are all larger or hotter than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.
HAT-P-69 b is a Jupiter-like planet discovered in 2019 by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star dims the observed brightness. Its radius of 18.8 Earth radii exceeds Earth's, and its mass of 1140 Earth masses also exceeds Earth's, equaling roughly 3.58 times Jupiter's mass. Its mean density is 0.946 g/cm³, 0.172 times Earth's. It completes one orbit every 4.79 days.
