HAT-P-11: A Cool Star with Two Known Planets

HAT-P-11 is a K4 star located 123 light-years away. The star is 6.5 billion years old and has a mass of 0.81 solar masses, a radius of 0.75 solar radii, and a temperature of 4780 K. Its mass, radius, and temperature are all smaller or cooler than the Sun's. Two planets are known to orbit this host.

HAT-P-11 b was discovered by transit in 2010 and has a minimum mass of 23.5 Earth masses and an orbital period of 4.89 days. Its minimum mass is larger than Earth's.

HAT-P-11 c was discovered by radial velocity in 2018 and has a mass of 852 Earth masses and an orbital period of 3360 days, which is roughly 2.68 times Jupiter's mass. Among the listed planets, HAT-P-11 b has the shortest year and HAT-P-11 c has the longest.
