GU Psc and Its Jupiter-Like Companion

GU Psc is an M3 star 155 light-years away with one known planet in its system. As an M-type star, it is a small, cool red dwarf. Its mass is 0.447 solar masses, its radius is 0.45 solar radii, and its temperature is 3420 K.

The planet GU Psc b is a Jupiter-like world discovered by imaging in 2014. Its radius is 14.2 Earth radii, which places it well beyond the Jupiter-like threshold of four times Earth's radius. Its mass is 3590 Earth masses, roughly 11.3 times Jupiter's mass. Its mean density is 6.94 g/cm³, 1.26 times Earth's. No orbital period is reported for GU Psc b.
