WISPIT 1 and Its Two Imaged Worlds

WISPIT 1 is a K4 V star located 750 light-years away. Its spectral type marks it as a main-sequence dwarf cooler and redder than the Sun. The star has a mass of 0.72 solar masses, a radius of 1.12 solar radii, and a temperature of 4540 K. Its mass is smaller than the Sun's, its radius is larger than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's. Two planets are known to orbit this host.

Both planets are circumbinary, meaning each orbits both stars of the system rather than a single star. Both were found by imaging in 2025. WISPIT 1 b has a mass of 3310 Earth masses, roughly 10.4 times Jupiter's mass. Among the listed planets, WISPIT 1 b has the largest reported mass. No orbital period is reported for WISPIT 1 b.

WISPIT 1 c has a mass of 1680 Earth masses, roughly 5.3 times Jupiter's mass. Among the listed planets, WISPIT 1 c has the smallest reported mass. No orbital period is reported for WISPIT 1 c.
