WASP-41 and Its Two Known Planets

WASP-41 is a star 533 light-years away with two planets orbiting it. The star is 1.2 billion years old, has 0.987 solar masses, 0.886 solar radii, and a temperature of 5550 K. Its radius is smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

WASP-41 b was discovered by transit in 2011 and is a Jupiter-like planet. It has a mass of 270 Earth masses, a radius of 12.3 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 3.05 days. Its radius and mass are larger than Earth's, and its mean density is 0.794 g/cm³, 0.144 times Earth's. Among the listed planets, it has the shortest year by reported estimates.

WASP-41 c was discovered by radial velocity in 2015. Its minimum mass is 1010 Earth masses, roughly 3.18 times Jupiter's mass, and its orbital period is 421 days. Its minimum mass is larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, it has the longest year by reported estimates.
