WASP-37 is a star located 1280 light-years away with one known planet in orbit around it. The host star has a mass of 0.925 solar masses, a radius of 1 solar radii, and a temperature of 5800 K.
The planet WASP-37 b is a Jupiter-like world discovered in 2010 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It completes an orbit every 3.58 days. Its mass is 572 Earth masses and its radius is 13 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's corresponding values. That mass is roughly 1.8 times Jupiter's mass. Its mean density is 1.43 g/cm³, 0.26 times Earth's.
